Our Team
Over 15 years of experience in the development of medical equipment and project management from the prototype stage to regulatory certification stage with leading cardiology companies. Has extensive experience in the development of catheters for the treatment of atrial fibrillation arrhythmias, integration of minimized electronics within medical devices, mechanical development and preclinical trials.
Prior to this role, Ran managed medical device development projects for treatment of cardiac arrhythmias with St. Jude Medical, a global leader in the cardiology market space (now part of Abbott). Holds a Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering from CCNY University in New York State, USA.

Ran Sela, CEO
A physicist with over 25 years of experience in developing ultrasound systems that integrate hardware, software, and algorithmics. Dr. Megel has rich knowledge in the design, materials, manufacturing methods and assembly of ultrasound transducers for therapeutic and diagnostic needs. In addition, Dr. Megel is an expert in the development of a complex algorithm for analyzing cardiac physiological signal processing and software development for characterizing of ultrasound fields in space. Holds a doctorate in physics from the Donetsk Polytechnic Institute in Ukraine

Yuri Megel, Ph.D, CTO
Over 20 years of digital signal processing and electronic hardware system design in the medical device space with focus on ultrasound systems development, real-time doppler analysis, hardware architecture development, system integration, optimization of real-time noise-to-signal ratio, and support of system electrical safety testing . Holds MSc of Electrical and Microelectronic engineering from the Novosibirsk Institute of Electrical Engineering, Russia

Dima Smakhtin, Hardware Manager
Software developer with >10 years of experience in Full-stack development and design working with C# and WPF. Hands-on experience developing 3D electromagnetic navigation systems software, implementation of clinical feature into software tools, programming UI/UX for clinical software solution and leading verification and validation activities of software solutions.

Ayelet Hillman, Software Engineering
Precision assembly lab technician with vast experience working within the medical field. Know-how with polymers materials, adhesives technologies, piezoceramic soldering and bonding in addition to ultrasound transducer assembly and lab characterization testing

Natali Lysyak, Ultrasound Assembly Tech
18 years of experience in global companies leading New Product Development in the EP market space for diagnostic and therapeutic indications, from initial concept, research & development, design V&V, NPI to full market deployment. Held leadership roles with multi-disciplinary teams consisting of R&D, Marketing, Clinical, Quality, Regulatory, Sales, Technical & clinical support, training and Production that directly developed contact force ablation technologies, lesion index and electro-magnetic navigations systems for ablation indications.

Assaf Rubissa, VP R&D and Product
Over >15 years of medical device mechanical engineering with wide experience in project management from initial stages through detailed mechanical design of systems and disposables, transfer to production, EMC & Safety testing and participance in clinical trials and patent submissions.

Extensive experience in the high-tech manufacturing ecosystem with hands-on experience with surface mount technology, integrated circuit device assembly and assembly process development of miniature, delicate structural heart implants consists of shape memory material.

Dr. Zilberstein has more than 20 years’ experience in the medical device industry; Vast experience in investments in the Healthcare and nanotech fields. As CEO and CTO at Alon MedTech Ventures, her activities include choosing projects, advancing them into companies and guiding their scientific activity. Further, she assists in structuring marketing strategy and forges scientific and commercial ties with external groups.
