Healium Medical is an early-stage medical device company located in Yokne’am developing transcatheter ultrasound therapeutic technology for the treatment of cardiac arrhythmias. The company’s technology is multidisciplinary and consists of micro-mechanics, micro-electronics, hardware, software, and signal and image algorithm processing. The company is backed by strategic investors and key opinion leaders in the field, has development collaborations projects with strategic partners, won 1st place at the prestigious ICI2019 Technological Innovation Competition and was recently awarded the European Innovation Council (EIC) grant 2021.
We are seeking for creative Mechanical Engineer with strong and demonstrated hands-on attitude to take part in the mechanical design and development activities of the company. You would take-part in the development, from concept to commercialization, of advanced therapeutic delivery systems used in cardiology procedures, be responsible for design & development of test characterization methods, engineer fixtures & processes for manufacturing assembly lines and be heavily engaged in pre-clinical studies to evaluate the electro-acoustic & mechanical performance of the company’s technology. If you like to design, micro-fabricate, 3D-print, develop assembly processes, engaged in materials research & selection, run characterization testing, prepare engineering documentation & manage subcontractors, you would find this position as good as it gets.

§ Support all company’s mechanical activities such as:
o Mechanical design & development of therapeutic delivery systems (intravascular & intracardiac catheters) & accessories
o Design & Development of test fixtures and micro mechanical-electrical assembly process development
o Documentation of specifications, requirements, and test protocols
o Produce detailed drawings of parts and assemblies
o Work with manufacturing subcontractors for the production, acceptance tests, and integration of prototypes and final products
o Take part in hardware-mechanical integration
YOUR EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE
§ B.S / M.S in Mechanical Engineering / Biomedical Engineering
§ +2 years of experience in multidisciplinary design– in the medical field an advantage
§ knowledge of catheter design & construction, familiarity with material types used, catheter assembly process, key subcontractors and suppliers, adhesive types & selection
§ Experience with test plans and lab tests for verification and conformance of design outputs to meet design inputs.
§ Proficient in SolidWorks
§ Experience working with subcontractors
§ High level of verbal and written English
§ Understanding of Product Development Process guidelines & regulations, and Design Controls.
§ Experience with Nitinol laser-cutting design, FEA, and shape setting fixture design
§ Familiarity and/or experience with plastic / polymer molds design
§ Experience with mechanical design of complex structures with electrical components integration
§ Know-how of micro interconnect technologies such as thin flex pads
§ Familiar with PDM system
§ Experience designing moving mechanisms
